The Yankee's World-Class 14 Acre Baseball Stadium in the Bronx

Contracted by the New York Yankees to provide project management services, Tishman Speyer Properties entrusted Òâ°ºÌåÓý to construct the new Yankee Stadium, a 14-acre site directly across the street from the original Yankee Stadium. The new 635,000 sq. ft. stadium has a seating capacity of 52,000, and over 170,000 sq. ft. of premium amenity spaces, including conference facilities, fine dining restaurants, 68 luxury suites, retail boutiques, and executive and administrative offices. 

Completed four months ahead of schedule, Òâ°ºÌåÓý set a new standard in construction excellence by delivering a world-class environment that preserves the authenticity and energy of the original Yankee Stadium. Key to the project’s success was Òâ°ºÌåÓý’s ability to employ Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) practices to safeguard the schedule and budget. The project marked the first time Òâ°ºÌåÓý applied Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies on a project of this scale. The team generated 3D models of the steel frame, exterior wall, and MEP systems well in advance of material fabrication. As a result, the team identified over 10,000 clashes, subsequently developing a collaborative approach with the architect and engineer to resolve the issues while maintaining the new stadium's aesthetic.

The stadium was christened by the New York Yankees in its inaugural year with a World Series win, and received New York Construction magazine’s Overall Project of the Year.
