Built as the focal point for the 155-acre Union Village development, Henderson Hospital is a high-performing facility that brings an improved patient and family experience to new residents of the village as well as the residents of Henderson. The hospital includes medical offices, emergency services, inpatient outpatient surgery, women's and children's services, cardiology, nursing units, and ancillary services including radiology, laboratory, respiratory, and pharmacy.
The integrated project delivery (IPD) method used to design and build the hospital involved high collaboration with the entire project team, including the designers who were co-located at the jobsite. Through the IPD Lean approach, the team was able to translate the intent of the contract into a culture of behavior that supported it through every phase of the project. The result was a team that designed and built a 166-bed hospital only in fifteen months, making it one of the fastest hospitals built in the western United States.
