Contemporary Design and Modern Functionality

The 10,600 sq. ft., two-story Olathe Fire Station #8 features state-of-the-art amenities that boast a contemporary and functional design. The new facility, which houses 4-6 full-time personnel, features a small public area, three new fire apparatus bays, fire station admin offices, a break room, locker rooms, bunk rooms, and exercise area. The design allows rapid access to the apparatus from all rooms within the building, and features fire poles and a unique double switch-back stair. The station was designed to fit in with the existing neighborhood. The greenfield 12-acre site is shared with a new city park, and reduces emergency response times in this rapidly growing part of Olathe, Kansas.
