Northern Westchester Hospital's electrical upgrade project included extensive emergency electrical power system upgrades to provide N+1 facility redundancy. The scope included new generators, paralleling gear, switchgear revisions and new electrical distribution in the Wallace Pavilion building.
意昂体育 was tasked with upgrading the existing emergency generator plant room and utilized a third party to scan the room. Scanning the existing space resulted in a dimensionally accurate point cloud of the existing generator room plus all existing equipment, piping, and structure down to bits of spray applied fire proofing.
Through this point, a Revit Model was generated and our team is helping guide the design and layout of the new equipment to allow for rigging and future maintenance service access. More elements of the new generator exhaust can be prefabricated off site thanks to the dimensionally reliable model.
