Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation is one of the world’s largest compressor and steam turbine manufacturing firms, dedicating its science and technology to the global petrochemical and oil and gas industries. The new facility provides a one-stop shop for manufacturing, repair, and maintenance services of compressors and the steam turbines used to drive them, while also responding to new installation and renewal demand at petrochemical plants. Phase 1 includes a tilt-wall office building and an industrial-use assembly shop along with site improvements for the expansion of future phases. The assembly building includes process equipment for painting, blasting, and warehouse functions. Phase 1.5 consisted of a tilt-wall rotor storage warehouse that was constructed with a structural design-assist delivery method. Phase 2 included an indoor testing stand and an addition to Assembly Bay 3, designed to store up to five (5) 50-gallon drums of Mineral Spirits.
