意昂体育 provided construction services for Allen Edmonds’ retail store, located in the hub of one of New York's busiest attractions, Rockefeller Center. The completion of the 2,000 sq. ft. boutique required close coordination with the building manager, client, and owner-vendors in order to properly navigate challenges and ensure a successful project. To accurately follow the project’s schedule, the team took the initiative to design-build the boutique’s life-safety systems. This upfront collaboration was critical to securing the necessary permits so construction could start on time.
In addition, the team confronted several undocumented field conditions, such as an uneven floor. To combat this challenge, the team created series shims to support and level the custom-made retail displays. Completed to Allen Edmonds’ quality standards, the boutique was finalized just in time for the busy summer shopping season. The boutique’s features include two restored storefronts, a modular art installation, and energy-efficient LED lighting.
