In 2022, the team was approached by a local healthcare organization for guidance on creating its supplier diversity program. By sharing knowledge and best practices, the Òâ°ºÌåÓý team knew it could help the organization on its supplier diversity journey.  Weekly phone calls to understand needs led to strategies aimed at increasing diverse participation. Òâ°ºÌåÓý introduced the organization to certification agencies, helped create new programs, trainings, and outreach opportunities, and formed a comprehensive mentor-protégé program.

Through its annual Òâ°ºÌåÓý School of Construction Management program, Òâ°ºÌåÓý partnered with the healthcare organization and incorporated sessions taught by the hospital’s procurement department, related to “how to do work with us”. The 2022 graduating class included 21 students from 18 different small and diverse firms, an increase in graduates from previous years.

“We have Òâ°ºÌåÓý School graduates who are now interviewing directly with the healthcare organization,” added Dexter.  “As our clients grow in their supplier diversity journeys, we want to be a resource for them. This is how we can continue to generate opportunities for diverse firms, through partnerships.”
